هناك فرق بين اقتناء ديوان شاعر، واقتناء النسخة التي أمسكها الشاعر بيده وكتب عليها اسمًا. هذه واحدة من تلك النسخ.
غازي القصيبي (1940 - 2010) اسم يصعب اختصاره: وزير الصناعة ثم الصحة ثم العمل، وسفير المملكة في البحرين ثم لندن، وفي الوقت نفسه شاعر كتب «سلمى» و«معركة بلا راية»، وروائي كتب «شقة الحرية» و«العصفورية»، وكاتب رأي أثار الجدل وأحبّه الناس. ترك لغةً ما زالت تُقتبس في المجالس كأنها قيلت البارحة.
وقيمة هذه النسخة ليست في نصّها وحده — النص مطبوع في آلاف النسخ — بل في السطر الذي لم يُطبع في أي نسخة أخرى في العالم: خطّ يده وتوقيعه. النسخ الموقّعة من القصيبي من أكثر ما يطلبه مقتنو الأدب السعودي، وهي تندر عامًا بعد عام.

There is a difference between owning a poet's book and owning the copy he held in his hands and wrote a name upon. This is one of those copies.
Ghazi Al-Qusaibi (1940 - 2010) resists summary: Minister of Industry, then Health, then Labour; ambassador to Bahrain and later London; and at the same time the poet of "Salma", the novelist of "An Apartment Called Freedom" and "Al-Usfuriyya", and a columnist who provoked and was loved in equal measure. He left behind a language still quoted as though spoken yesterday.
The value here is not in the text alone — the text exists in thousands of copies — but in the line printed in no other copy on earth: his handwriting and signature. Signed Qusaibi copies are among the most sought-after items in Saudi literary collecting, and they grow scarcer each year.
