كتاب في تاريخ الحضارة الإنسانية موجَّه إلى القارئ الناشئ، تأليف إدنا مجوير ورسم صوره جورج م. ريتشاردز، نقله إلى العربية إبراهيم زكي خورشيد وراجعه علي أدهم، وصدر عن مكتبة النهضة المصرية بالقاهرة سنة 1953 ضمن إصدارات وزارة المعارف العمومية - إدارة الترجمة. يفتتحه المؤلف بخطاب إلى القراء الصغار «أبنائي وبناتي الأعزاء» يشبّه فيه تاريخ الماضي باستعراض سينمائي هائل، ثم يمضي بالقارئ من الحقبة السابقة على بدء التاريخ إلى العصور الوسطى مرورًا بمصر ووادي النيل وآسيا الغربية والشرق الأقصى واليونان ورومة، مصحوبًا بعشرات الرسوم والخرائط المرسومة باليد.

Richards, translated into Arabic by Ibrahim Zaki Khorshid and reviewed by Ali Adham, published by Al-Nahda Al-Misriya Library in Cairo in 1953 under the Egyptian Ministry of Public Education - Translation Department. It opens with an address to young readers comparing the history of the past to a vast cinematic pageant, then carries the reader from prehistory to the Middle Ages by way of Egypt and the Nile Valley, Western Asia, the Far East, Greece and Rome, accompanied by dozens of hand-drawn illustrations and maps.
