ما يميّز هذه النسخة ليس عمرها وحده، بل ما ضُمَّ إليها: فبعد المقامات الخمسين تأتي الرسالتان السينية والشينية للحريري، ثم رسالة ابن الخشاب البغدادي في الاعتراض عليه، ومعها انتصار ابن بري للحريري. أي أن القارئ يجد بين دفّتين النصَّ وخصمَه ومُدافعَه في آن — وهو اجتماع لا تحمله أكثر طبعات المقامات المتداولة.
ويُذيَّل الكتاب بفهرس لغوي يجمع كل ما شُرح في المقامات من مفردات وأمثال وأعلام، مرتَّباً على الحروف الهجائية، حتى صار المجلد معجماً صغيراً إلى جانب كونه متناً أدبياً. وقد نصّ ناشره على أن هذا الجدول مستخرَج على منوال جدول البارون سلفستر دي ساسي في طبعته الباريسية سنة 1822.
وقد صُدِّر المتن بترجمة صاحب المقامات منقولة من تاريخ ابن خلكان، وخُتم بأبيات تأريخ نظمها السيد محمد الحسن الحموي، جُمعت حروفها لتعطي سنة الطبع: 1326.

What distinguishes this copy is not its age alone, but what is bound with it: after the fifty Maqamat come Al-Hariri's two epistles, al-Siniyya and al-Shiniyya, then the treatise of Ibn al-Khashshab of Baghdad objecting to Al-Hariri, and with it Ibn Barri's defence of him. The reader finds the text, its critic and its champion between two boards — a combination most circulating editions of the Maqamat do not carry.
The volume closes with a linguistic index gathering every glossed word, proverb and name explained in the Maqamat, arranged alphabetically, making it a small dictionary as well as a literary classic. The publisher states that this table follows the model of Baron Silvestre de Sacy's index in his Paris edition of 1822.
The text opens with a life of the author drawn from Ibn Khallikan's history, and ends with chronogram verses by al-Sayyid Muhammad al-Hasan al-Hamawi, whose letters add up to the year of printing: 1326.
